Cross Sportswear has four different options when it comes to golf rainwear: Edge, Pro, Hurricane and Cloud.

1. Edge
   Edge is our most technical garment, offering maximum freedom of movement and performance-driven design with a narrow fit. It has three layers and is made with a 4-way stretch. With its 20,000mm of waterproofing, the Edge is sure to keep you dry when playing golf.

   The Pro is extremely soft and very quiet. It is light and packable, which makes it easy to carry in your bag. It has a timeless design that gives it a classic look.    Hurricane is extremely light and affordable. It has a fashionable look with a classic fit. The Hurricane has a 4-way stretch, 2.5 layers and a waterproofing of 15,000 mm.

   Cloud has a sporty style with a classic fit and is functional and comfortable. It has two layers and is equipped with a 2-way stretch. The waterproofing is 10,000 mm and the breathability is 10,000 g/m 2 /24h.

The world's best rainwear

There are tons of rain gear out there, and once you play 18 holes of golf in pouring rain, you gain some understanding of what works and what doesn't. We here at Cross Sportswear have always excelled in weatherproof gear, and maintaining the players' trust is not something we take lightly.

The expertise we've built up over the years has led to FTX, our 2-3 layer membrane, tailored to fit long rounds in terrible conditions and still allow you to comfortably sink that putt and force a playoff. The ultra-thin membrane is laminated to the shell fabric and comes with a 20,000mm water column, which translates to total waterproofness. All while maintaining extreme levels of breathability, mobility, stretch and wind chill protection.

These exceptionally high levels of technical qualities are designed with the Scandinavian climate in mind, where wind, wet and snow are part of the daily routine. We need to be sure we stay dry and to embrace this we have a 3 year waterproof warranty on all FTX gear.

Product care

It is not difficult to care for technical clothes, and if you follow our washing advice, you will extend the life of your clothes. Always follow the instructions for the specific product you purchased. Take care of your clothes so they can perform at their best when you need them for as long as possible.

Most of our garments, especially outerwear, have a DWR (durable water repellent) treatment. The purpose of this type of treatment is to make the outer fabric water-repellent. After wearing your garment for a few years, the outer fabric may start to get wet, even though the membrane still prevents water from passing through the garment. If this happens, you can reapply the DWR treatment with a wash or spray product.

Rain, wind and leisure clothing

When you wash clothes from our rain, wind or leisure series, the accompanying washing instructions must be checked, but in general the following applies:

We do not recommend

• Do not wash the clothes unless absolutely necessary. Air the clothes instead to save both water and energy, and you extend the life of the clothes at the same time.
• Do not use bleach.
• Do not use fabric softener, it is bad for the environment and also reduces the performance and water-repellent treatment of your clothes.

We recommend

• Wash your clothes if they have become very sweaty or dirty, as this in itself reduces the performance of the clothes.
• Make sure the zippers are closed when washing.
• Use a laundry bag to protect your clothes and to prevent fibers from leaking.
• Machine wash in lukewarm water.
• Let the clothes hang dry, but don't forget that heat is needed to reactivate the waterproof surface. Use a drying cabinet, dryer or iron.
• For best results, wash clothes with similar colors.

Intermediate layers, polo shirts and skirts in jersey fabric

When washing intermediate layers, polo shirts or skirts, the attached washing instructions must be checked, but in general the following applies:

• Avoid using fabric softener.

We recommend

• Air the clothes when possible, remember that the environmentally friendly material bamboo charcoal has natural odorless properties.
• Use a laundry bag.
• Hang to dry, but if you use a tumble dryer – tumble dry on low heat.
• Machine wash in lukewarm water.
• Flip bright and dark objects to reduce fading.

With our Scandinavian heritage, we care about nature and are constantly looking for better alternatives. From our materials, we mainly work with recycled and recyclable polyester. The fabric of our best rainwear is made of virgin polyester for durability. The product lasts longer and creates a smaller footprint overall.

We work with natural fibers such as Bamboo Charcoal. We are always on the lookout for the latest technology and work hard on our sustainability progress.

SUBSTANCES AND MATERIALS

We work with products made from recycled fibers that can ultimately go back into the same system again and become a resource. Today at Cross Sportswear we use recycled polyester, recyclable polyester, virgin polyester and bamboo charcoal.

Recycled polyester

Polyester is made from the most common type of plastic, polyethylene terephthalate, also known as PET. Recycled polyester is obtained by melting down existing plastic, such as fishing nets or plastic bottles, and respinning it into new polyester fiber.

Recycled polyester is known as rPET and is just as good as virgin polyester, but its production requires far fewer resources compared to virgin polyester. It also gives a second life to a material that would otherwise end up in a landfill or the sea.

Virgin Polyester

Virgin Polyester is a synthetic fiber created through a chemical reaction involving petroleum and is the most common form of PET, also known as polyethylene terephthalate. We use virgin polyester when necessary. The quality is better and the product will last longer, this is a smaller footprint overall.

Bamboo Charcoal

Bamboo Charcoal is produced from the fast-growing Moso Bamboo. It has been enjoyed in Asia for more than four centuries. With only five years from seedling to maturity, this kind of bamboo can grow up to two feet in a single day. Further reach a height of 60 feet in two or three months without irrigation. Moso Bamboo regenerates naturally through an extensive root system.

Bamboo forests are widely planted throughout Asia, and due to the resurgence in recognition of the benefits of bamboo charcoal, bamboo is being planted every day with the intention of having this sustainable product forever.

Why bamboo charcoal? Because it's smart, sustainable, non-toxic and completely natural. It is the best fiber in sports. We primarily use Bamboo Charcoal in our polos. WASTE, SUPPLIERS AND PRODUCTION

We work hard to eliminate waste. Remains of materials from production are used for samples, prototypes and special products. Nothing is waste.

Cross Sportswear does not have its own production and instead has its production by selected manufacturers in China. The choice of manufacturers is based on product quality, delivery performance and of course ethical and environmental considerations.
